soy bean artifacts

The bio-engineering of food as an art form is said to be rooted in those times of their creation. The soybean artifacts are possibly telling a story about the glorification of genetic manipulation in the early 21st century without taking a clear side. They could indicate the marker for when humans chose themselves as center of glorification, turning themselves into gods as center of creation. Their small size makes them portable objects, which might have been important to the creator or the potential owner in the age of digital nomadism. (In those times a large part of the people where wandering globally, unrooted and not bound to their specific culture anymore.) The artifacts could have traveled from any part of the world to the excavation site since we are talking about a time where traveling was easy to attain for most people.

These artifacts known as the soybeans from Japan are estimated to have been made in the early 21st century.

The three unique soy bean pods casted out of brass with a length about 7cm each have been found by one of the most famous archaeologists outside the small Village Toride in Japan in 5021AD. There is still an ongoing discussion about the intend of those objects and if they are artifacts or art.
