one moment life
I was arriving in Tokyo right at the beginning of sakura, the cherry blossoming, full of wonder for this world and culture. Stunned about the excitement of everyone to see the cherry trees blossom and the way the people let their heart be moved by the ephemeral nature of the event I thought in depth about the special meaning of sakura. At this time Japanese people meet traditionally for hanami - the cherry blossom viewing, that is happening in the parks with alcohol and eventually snacks. At the end of the evening only the waste is left to tell the stories about the night. One moment life is an expression of these impressions at the beginning of my exploration to live in japan. It is a small installation out of three paintings and a waste-sculpture watching them. Exhibited at the Campus Toride, Geidai University of Arts, Japan in Spring 2017
